3 GALLON GOLD MOP CYPRESS
Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Gold Mop'
This brightly colored dwarf conifer grows to be a conical evergreen shrub with dense golden threads all over it. The bright yellow foliage droops, giving this cypress a relatively unique look! The shrub is evergreen, making this an awesome pop of color in your landscape all year!
The average height of a Gold Mop Cypress is 18" - 24" tall, unless it is older. A 10 year old plant can grow to be 10' tall! The older plant in our pictures has been planted in the garden in the back of the nursery for 13 years!
Plant in full sun or light shade in average, moist, well drained soil. After the plant is established it is drought tolerant.
It is very low maintenance -- it doesnt require any pruning unless there are dead, broken, or poorly formed branches.
Plant it as a specimen plant or in multiples. Use it against your house as a foundation plant! In a rock garden its color & shape will provide a contrasting structural piece.
If the plant is delivered or picked up you will receive a 3 gallon size plant in the nursery pot it was grown in.
If the plant is shipped you will receive a 3 gallon size plant bare root without a pot.
