Silver Painted Fern - 1 Gallon
1 GALLON SILVER PAINTED FERN
Athyrium niponicum var. pictum 'Silver Falls'
USDA ZONES 4-9
Painted Lady Fern; Japanese Painted Fern
This elegant, deciduous fern forms a large rosette with it's arching, lance shaped, bipinnate fronds. The fronds are a grayish green color with a silver overlay, which really pops against the dark purple mid ribs of the leaves.
The Silver Painted Fern is a slow spreading, pest & disease free, easy to grow fern. Some say it is one of the most rewarding! It is the recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society for its outstanding qualities.
This fern grows up to 12" to 18" tall & wide clumps. The Painted Lady thrives in full shade & fertile, humus-rich, medium moisture, well-drained soils.
If any of the fronds become damaged, remove them as needed.
